MILLENARY OLIVE TREES

Millenary olive trees

The Maestrazgo was an area shared by the ancient reigns of Aragón and Valencia, and it is where we’ll find the biggest density of millenary olive trees that are more than 2000 years old. Just amazing!

We’ll travel the path of the Millenary Olive Trees on our bikes. We’ll discover the most representative cultural features and the autochthon landscape by entering the fileds not only to contemplate, but to hug, hear and feel the historic olive trees heartbeat. To the end of this flat path, at Santa Isabel Hermitage, we’ll get to know the Marimon waterwheel, a proof of how important water was in this rough area. Back to Canet we’ll head to the Vilagròs fields where we’ll be able to contemplate other huge and mysterious examples of olive trees and we’ll visit an ancient Roman fountain with 2000 years of secrets to reveal.
