ITINERANTUR SET MENU
| WINES WITH NOTES OF THE SEA |
The Prat de Cabanes-Torreblanca Natural Park is an internationally-renowned wetland due to the fact that its beaches, marshes and lagoons are home to various avifauna species found nowhere else in the Mediterranean. Its pebbled coastline, which separates the former coastal lagoon (now an area of marshland, grasslands and ponds) from the sea, is the most important of its kind in the Valencian Community. During the route, we’ll discover landscapes that look like they belong in other eras, and even other continents. We’ll learn the ways in which the plants have adapted to the different saline and freshwater environments, the different kind of soils and the ancestral uses that mankind has made of this place, such as the extraction of peat. To further round-off the day, we’ll visit a winery set in a privileged location sandwiched between the sea and the rich inland area. During our time at this bioclimatic winery, we will learn every detail about the production process of Mediterranean wines, before sampling its delicious products in an unforgettable tasting event.
PLEASE REMEMBER:
- Please bring suitable clothes and footwear for the activity. You’ll also need to bring water (1.5 litres/person) and a sugary snack, just in case.
- The best times of year to observe migratory birds are spring and autumn.
- Includes a local wine tasting activity.
- If you book in advance, you will also have the opportunity to sample the winery’s set menu.
