We’re a travel agency and contracted Itinerantur to guide our clients. They were very satisfied with the guides (and their English language skills). Thanks to Itinerantur we discovered the Sierra de Irta, highly recommendable! Beforehand, we had a ‘wish list’ of places and itineraries. They checked and prepared some routes especially for our clients, who had special needs due to their age and physical condition. It turned out very well. It was good fun exploring nature with Belén, Chema and Ritchie. They all transmit positive energy and add a lot of value to the experience.

In 2018, we took part in the first walking holiday organized by Ramblers Holidays at Benicassim on the Orange Blossom coast. Chema Rabasa was the assigned local guide who organized and led all the walks for the week. We found him to be a charming and very informative guide who entertained us with detailed descriptions of the history of the region and the locations of the walks. His knowledge of the flora, fauna and geology where we walked was impressive and made the walks more interesting. He diligently shepherded the group on all the walks taking into account the different individual capabilities, and adjusted the days itinerary and coach pickups depending on the weather. Chema’s enthusiasm for this region of Spain where he lived was apparent, and made the week one of the best walking holidays we have undertaken.

Recordo que el tracte va ser molt bó , amb 2 guies cada cop que sortiem per tal de no perdre ningú. Les explicacions sobre la flora i fauna també van ser interessants , així com els llocs escollits per fer les excursions. Recordo amb especial interès la passejada per les Oliveres Mil·lenàries i el posterior tast d’oli que ens van fer al restaurant Miralles de Canet lo Roig. També els voltants de Benassal i Ares del Maestrat , gràcies als coneixements de Xema vàrem estar molt ben guiats i acollits. Amb ganes de tornar a col·laborar amb ells.

Una empresa única a la hora de hacer rutas senderistas. No sólo te acompañan y te guían sino que te trasladan su pasión por la naturaleza y la historia del recorrido que comparten con el excursionista de manera muy profesional. Absolutamente recomendables.

Realizar una excursión con el equipo Itinerantur es como que un buen amigo te enseñe el sitio donde vive, paisajes que aprecia y que siente y de los que te hace partícipe.

We thoroughly enjoyed our hiking experience with you. Your knowledge of your country, nature, culture and politics enriched us every day. Your connections to your community enabled us to visit places which the average tourist wouldn’t have access. I was especially excited to see the Neolithic cave drawings. The camaraderie we shared with our group enabled us all to keep going, and we have kept in touch with several of the friends we made. Thanks for a fantastic trip.

We enjoyed very much our week being guided by Chema on a Ramblers walking holiday over Christmas 2019. The planning and organisation of every day’s itinerary was spot-on and a credit to the company. Above all, we enjoyed and appreciated Chema’s knowledge of Castellon’s natural environment, wildlife and heritage, his insights and ability to inform us of so much, as well as his warm personality and sense of humour – all of which helped make the week so special and enjoyable. We could have stayed for much longer in this beautiful and interesting area, and we look forward to returning.

It was an absolute joy to walk and work with Chema and Itinerantur. The area around Benicassim was new to me and to be able to discover it within its historical and cultural context, as narrated by Chema on our walks, was special. His own love of the area shone through and was infectious. As the guide of an English walking group he couldn’t have been more helpful to me and adaptable when weather conditions demanded! I hope to be back.

If you want to know the real Castellon, take a tour with Itinerantur. I can’t say enough about our guide, Chema Rabasa. He is a great leader, charming and full of good humour, and always watching out for everyone in the group. His knowledge of the flora, fauna and geology of the area is phenomenal, as too the history of the Castellon region, that he regaled us with on our bus journeys. Having a local guide with such knowledge of the area made our week one of the best walking holiday we have ever spent.
